There seems to be a lot about young Davey C in the press today, and quite rightly too. He’s been smacked about far too much by those on the right of the party and it’s good that he’s been given room to set the record straight. Especially in the Telegraph as that prat Simon Heffer needs a good riposte shoved at him from time to time.
It’s really rather frustrating, as it seems to me that Heffer and the other UKIPphiles viewpoints are entirely skewed, almost as if they are deliberately misreading what he’s been saying. Do the bashers really want another 10 years of NuLabor, as that is what they’re going to get if UKIP take Tory votes in close marginals?
Yes Cameron is a bit more centre than right for some people, and a bit of flack is understandable and desirable to keep him on his toes, but to caricature him as the heir to Blair or as someone who would turn the Tory party into another left wing cheerleader for big government is crazy, his localism agenda, his ideas about trusting people, his balanced euro-scepticism, and even his environmentalism are all sound Tory principles. Have those who’ve defected to UKIP got no strategic sense at all, or even patience? Give him time and I’m sure you’ll see that the boy will do good.
British, 24, male, right of centre Cameroon, seriously pissed off with NuLabor and their infernal politics of fear, envy, and spite.
This blog is a place to let off steam and to opine about everything and anything that takes my fancy, although it will generally cover news and politics.
